Sandra Patricia Alvarez

Sandra Alvarez, CEO of Akahina Group and Founder of the Akahina Gives Back Hope Foundation. Born in Buenaventura, Colombia, and raised in the U.S. since the age of 12, I bring over 27 years of global leadership experience across the biotech, wellness, and executive development sectors. I’ve led teams and mentored leaders in seven countries Mexico, Chile, Hong Kong, Spain, Argentina, Colombia, and the U.S. driving product launches, sales growth, international training events, and market development.
I hold certifications as a Holistic Health & Wellness Coach, Reiki Master Practitioner, and Clairvoyant. My holistic practice offers Reiki, chakra balancing, sound healing with Tibetan singing bowls, and clairvoyant sessions to support mind body alignment and energetic healing.

With 17+ years of experience in retail banking, I’ve also developed deep expertise in commercial and residential lending, financial analysis, expense management, and customer service, with a strong track record in team building and operational improvement.

As a philanthropist, I’m committed to supporting vulnerable communities. In 2015, I founded the Akahina Gives Back Hope Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit now led alongside my husband, Juan Carlos Alvarez. Our current focus is supporting special needs children in Popayán, Colombia, including building a vocational school for deaf graduates at Escuela Normal Superior.
